Fixed the Ranks today..... website is a week old and already I have had to correct the ranks system on the forums - no scratch that, the forums side is fine, it was the code I wrote to pull the rank image for the profile page over at the main site. It wasn't pulling your rank if you wern't listed as 'Special Rank' (Founder, Staff Captain). Now corrected and working fine - go take a look!

Something else I did the other day was to upgrade the calendar system so that when an event is added it will automatically email all active clan members (who are registered) letting them know that an entry has been added along with its details. The same bit of code applies if an event is modified, it will inform all members that a calendar event has been modified. hopefully this will keep people informed of any upcoming events so that they dont miss out. Unfortunatly I implemented this change after the current entries were added so no notifications for those sorry!

So I get in to work this morning and as its the Easter Break and the school is on shutdown, I decided I would activate everyones email address and mail out their login details.... what a boring job that was writing mail after mail with the same thing...... nah, I used copy and paste ;) haha. Still, job done now and everyone should start using ther [SG] email account - seen as though I built the new site to send all notifications to that email address! If anyone owns an email capable fone, there is some instructions in the Forums on how to add the account to it (based on Apple iPhone but you could modify instructions to suit any phone).

After I got done sending email account messages, I decided that I should activate everyone Blog account, get people in on the blog scene... back to the emails to send out their logins I guess!

Well what a launch that was!! Rest assured, nobody has fallen out and there was no fight – just a carefully orchestrated plan involving myself and a few of my officers! c’mon, admit it, we got you good and proper, even it was just for a few hours!

Anyhow, the new site is here and it all about the benjamins... no wait, scratch that, its all about the [SG]’s lol. You will need to re-register at both the forums and the new system on the main site, as all the previous data was wiped to clean it all up. Forum registration is easy, you done it before, so do it again! Site registration is a little different tho – be sure to read and understand the Application form before you submit it.
